Melbourne Fringe 2018

For me the purpose of ART is always about to show society some sort of a mirror - To rise awareness for it's existing problems.
Therefore I am very happy to announce that I am going to take part on this years Melbourne Fringe Festival in a very special kind of a Show

 DO YOU KNOW ME ?

Do You Know Me is a site specific, promenade, verbatim piece of theatre about Melbourne’s homeless. It features scenes and monologues based on interviews with many of the homeless people you see on the streets of our CBD, including war veterans, nurses, Yorta Yorta people, artists, mothers, fathers, daughters and sons. It is performed by a combination of actors and homeless people who have bravely volunteered to invite us into their spaces and stories to share their experiences, strength and hope. It is directed by Helen Doig and devised by Tiffany Barton and Kim Ho. Tiffany Barton has won awards for her Fringe show DIVA and was nominated for the International Guilder/Coigney female playwrights award in 2015. Kim Ho wrote the award winning short film “The Language of Love.” and was recently shortlisted for the prestigious Patrick White Playwrights award. Helen Doig is a WAAPA graduate. She directed the award-winning DIVA which toured to London and New York, and directed and acted for Melbourne Workers Theatre for six years.
All profits for this show will go directly to the homeless participants, and to work with homeless advocates to ensure the show positively impacts that community.
